fantastic, raging rain. I love it. If you live where I do, you have to - or at least pretend to. But I honestly do; it's far better than a pathetic attempt at rain, which manifests itself into 'mild drizzle'. Yeuch!

I agree, Katy, real rain is the stuff. The kind that starts pouring into your bedroom if, like me, you have a skylight that you carelessly leave open. Or just running out into it and getting completely soaked. Its a clichéd activity thanks to countless novels, films etc., but it does feel pretty fucking amazing. Simple things and all that :)

Cycling in it! If you have a bike (?) it's imperative! Maybe not the best idea with skids and everything, but yes... A cliched activity certainly, like you say, although not to be underestimated. I think it's just the whole water thing altogether; crazed rain & storms, swimmingpools & the reek of chlorine, the sea & waves crashing in a friendly way, baths & showers... very childlike pleasures. H2O is wonderful, (in the real sense of that word!) for me.
